We create a welcoming space where women can explore hunting, fishing, homesteading, and more -- while being supported every step of the way. At its heart, our mission is to inspire women to explore their wild and find community in the process.

Our Vision
Our vision is a future where women are confident and capable in the outdoors, carrying forward traditions while shaping new ones. We aim to build sustainable programs that expand access to outdoor education, strengthen community relationships, and create pathways for lifelong engagement. By breaking down barriers and fostering confidence through skill-building, we envision a stronger, more diverse outdoor community where women inspire and support one another for generations to come.

Our History
wildHERness was created in 2020 with the goal of connecting women to the outdoors through education, mentorship, and community. What began as a small effort to provide women with accessible hands-on opportunities in recreation, hunting, homesteading, and other outdoor skills quickly grew into a supportive network of participants, volunteers, and mentors. Since its founding, wildHERness has hosted camps, workshops, and immersive experiences that empower women to build confidence, develop lasting skills, and find belonging in the outdoors.
